On July 6th, 2023, at the Argentine Embassy, Japan and Argentina strengthened their ties through a new agreement focused on meat sciences. The Japan Federal Meat Academy and the Argentine Institute of Meat Science and Trades (ICOCA) signed a collaboration agreement for academic cooperation and exchange.

The ceremony was held at the Argentine Embassy, hosted by Argentine Ambassador Eduardo Tempone. Key representatives from Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, local producers, and numerous stakeholders from Japan's meat industry were also in attendance.

Both institutions share similar objectives in education, training, and research in meat sciences and trades. By acknowledging that collaboration will allow them to achieve these goals more effectively, the Japan Federal Meat Academy and ICOCA have committed to pursuing joint efforts through the signing of this agreement, which will benefit all parties involved.
