If you're in the mood for an unforgettable dining experience where kaiseki meets wagyu, look no further than Towa. Helmed by a young and passionate chef, Towa puts Japanese beef at the heart of its seasonal menu. This isn’t your typical steakhouse—Chef Takaaki Tsuneyasu personally selects premium cuts from renowned Wagyu ranches in Kobe, Tajima, Hitachi, Sendai, and Nozaki. His unique approach transforms classic dishes into something truly memorable.

Finding Towa is an adventure in itself. Tucked away on a narrow side street off Nishi Azabu crossing, there are no signs to guide you. Look for a small elevator next to a kimono store, ride it to the second floor, and you’ll come upon an unmarked door. Push it open, and you'll breathe a sigh of relief as you step inside.

The restaurant is surprisingly spacious given its prime location. With modern, minimalist decor grounded in classic Japanese aesthetics, the creamy ocher walls and subtle flower arrangements create a sophisticated and welcoming ambiance. The large wooden counter, seating only six guests, offers a perfect view of the chef’s skillful techniques. There are also two private rooms in the back for a more intimate dining experience.

Chef Takaaki Tsuneyasu, is already acclaimed for his creativity and technique. Trained at top establishments like Kanda and Kikunoi, he has a knack for sourcing rare ingredients and bringing out their best. He meticulously selects meats in peak condition from premium producers across Japan.
