"Breeding Genetic Giants"

Dedicated to breeding high genetic merit Wagyu from superior maternal lines to increase profitability and sustainability.

About Us
History
Loren Ruth started his Wagyu herd in 2008 under his Dairy herd prefix of Stonyrun with the purchase of a group of F1 females, a few fullbloods, and a group of pregnant recipients from Ralph Valdez's Creasent Harbor Ranch. In 2014, Synergy was formed when we (Loren Ruth - Stonyrun Genetics & Joe Petit - Kentucky Stud) realized they would be able to accomplish more by joining forces rather than growing as individual breeders. We pooled our resources and passion for Wagyu with the purpose of developing an elite level of genetics in the Synergy herd. A specific goal was to identify and breed from the maternal lines within the breed that had a prepotency for transmitting their genetics to their progeny. The Suzutanis, Hikokuras, Okutanis, and Yurikos are a few of the maternal lines that sorted themselves to the forefront in the US and in Australia and were incorporated into our breeding program. As a signal that these genetics work, there has been global demand for genetics from the Synergy herd which has led to the export of hundreds of embryos.Today, founding partner Joe Petit has exited the LLC, however Loren Ruth and his son Mitchell Ruth have continued operate and expand Synergy Wagyu. Maintaining the perspective that we can accomplish more through partnering with others, Synergy has developed JVs with several breeders/farmers in the USA, South Africa, and Australia.
