ABOUT THE RANCH

Sato Farm is located in Kamui, Shimizu Town, Tokachi, Hokkaido, about 30 kilometers west of Obihiro City, the heart of the agricultural region of Tokachi. The name “Shimizu” originates from the Ainu word “Pekerabetsu,” meaning “place where pure water flows,” reflecting the abundant water from the Tokachi River and the Hidaka Mountains. This wonderful town boasts excellent natural scenery, and its people, animals, and crops thrive vibrantly.

Making clean, delicious water even more flavorful.

True to its name, we use advanced water treatment systems to further purify the “clean and delicious water” found here, transforming it into “living water” that is low in chlorine and rich in oxygen. We believe that beef from cattle drinking such high-quality water becomes delicious beef.

After careful trial and error, we intentionally use feed designed for Japanese Black Wagyu.

We believe that feeding cattle the grains that we humans find tasty results in delicious beef. Based on this idea, we decided, after much experimentation, to use a specific Wagyu feed known as “Meijin.” This feed is rich in grain-based ingredients like rice bran and corn, contributing to superior meat quality.

Just like humans, cattle prefer soft, comfortable bedding.

To minimize stress for the cattle, we provide spacious stalls and frequently change the bedding, maintaining the highest level of care. Just like humans, cattle enjoy soft, comfortable bedding.
