Who We Are
The family farm has been around since the early 1900's. Scorched Stone Farm is located in the center of Holyrood, Wilson, and Claflin, KS and is owned by Jim and Katie Homolka. It's a family affair as our children are all incredibly involved, even those living hours away. Scorched Stone Farm is currently run by three generations of Homolkas. Scorched Stone Farm is the place to beef so get bloomin'. Expect top-quality products as the Homolka family incorporates research, creativity, & competitiveness into their daily practices.

Wagyu Beef
PRIME CUT WAGYU BEEF: Raised by our family and hand-fed from birth to harvest. Jim and Josh raise Wagyu beef, which is genetically predisposed to intense marbling and to producing a high percentage of oleaginous unsaturated fat. It is known for its incredibly high quality and melts in your mouth texture and flavor.
There's a Process…it's called trial, error, and LOADS of research. Did you know that it takes up to 36 months to feed these gentle giants? Our Wagyu know when it's dinnertime as they're fed a specialized recipe of locally sourced grain. Genetics are incredibly important to our herd & timing is key. Our Cows are raised from birth to harvest at Scorched Stone Farm. Hand fed with Locally Sourced Grain for over 300 days to increase marbling. Melt in your mouth flavor! Wagyu beef has an abundance of marbling that leads to superior taste, tenderness, and juiciness. It is a naturally healthier beef. Contains more Omega 3 & 6 Fatty Acids and more "GOOD" fat than other beef.
