Life at Otter Creek Farms

Otter Creek Farms is located North of Kingston. They say that you can take the boy off the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the boy. That statement would certainly be true of D.J. Cook who grew up in the farming community around Lindsay, Ontario. D.J.’s family operated a small beef herd. After attending the University of Guelph, D.J. took a path away from agriculture, becoming a neurosurgeon and neuroscientist. The farm is a family affair; with Jeff Cook managing the day to day farm operations.

Genetics

Our full blood black Angus and wagyu-angus cross become mothers to our full blood wagyu calves. We put full blood wagyu embryos into our Angus cows so the calf is born and raised naturally. This process allows us to ensure that our full blood wagyu calves have the highest quality genetics offering you top quality beef.
