Michinoku Hidaka Miyagi Beef
Grown freely in the rich natural environment of the local area, with straw made from premium rice produced in Tome and high-quality water.
The Tome area in northeastern Miyagi Prefecture, located along the Kitakami River, is known as a fertile rice-producing region. Historically, livestock farming has also flourished here, and the area is famous nationwide as a beef-producing region.
Michinoku Hidaka Miyagi Beef is produced from healthy, young calves (crossbreeds of Japanese Black and dairy breeds) born in Miyagi, Iwate, and Hokkaido, which are purchased in batches. They are fed abundantly with straw from locally branded rice, building strong and healthy bodies. Following this, meticulous fattening techniques, honed through years of experience and systematic methods, are applied to ensure high-quality meat.
Even in the cowshed, the cattle are raised in a dry and clean environment, minimizing stress. With slow and steady growth, the result is finely textured meat.
