In the vast grasslands of Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture, the gentle-hued Akaushi cattle (Japanese Brown) leisurely graze on the pastures. These Akaushi cattle, which originated in Aso, eventually spread across Kumamoto Prefecture, and later throughout Kyushu and across Japan.

With minimal excess fat, Akaushi beef embodies the natural flavor of lean meat and the essence of wagyu’s true taste. The rich flavors of Japanese beef live on in the Akaushi, nurtured in this beautiful land by the affection and expertise of local producers. Out of this love, we began calling this remarkable cattle breed "Aso-Ō" (King of Aso).

With care for nature and a farming process where you can see the faces of the farmers behind the cattle, we invite you to experience the magnificence of Akaushi. Let’s honor them by calling them "Aso-Ō."
