Koshu Wine Beef: A Creation of Koshu Wine and Yamanashi’s Abundant Nature

Koshu Wine Beef offers finely textured, tender meat with a subtle sweetness, crafted in the fertile lands of Yamanashi, known as Japan’s kingdom of fruit and wine. Raised at Kobayashi Farm, these cattle are carefully nurtured with the natural bounty of Yamanashi, including grape pomace from local wine production.

Koshu Wine Beef brings satisfaction and joy to every dining table with its exceptional taste.

Key Features of Koshu Wine Beef

1. Safety:

Koshu Wine Beef is raised in Yamanashi’s pristine environment, characterized by fresh water, clear air, and lush greenery. At Kobayashi Farm, the cattle are raised in good health with great care.

2. Reliability:

Following strict rearing manuals, Koshu Wine Beef is produced with minimal use of genetically modified feed. The result is a product you can enjoy with confidence.

3. Flavor:

Grape pomace, rich in quality fiber, grape skins, seeds, and active enzymes, enhances the meat quality by improving its texture and bringing out the umami flavor.

Special Feed and Natural Rearing

• Koshu Wine Beef cattle are fed grape pomace, along with corn, okara (soy pulp), and barley, while drinking pure mountain spring water. This balanced diet ensures their health and enhances the meat’s taste.

• Starting from 6 months of age, the cattle consume grape pomace rich in polyphenols, which slows the oxidation of the meat compared to conventional feed. The beef has a mild aroma and is highly regarded for its clean and approachable flavor.

Koshu Wine Beef is a delicious and innovative product, combining the essence of Yamanashi’s winemaking tradition with sustainable farming practices to deliver a unique and memorable dining experience.
