Hall Farmstead is a family-owned and operated farm dedicated to raising artisan Akaushi Wagyu Beef.

Farming and Science Working Together

We researched the different types of Japanese Wagyu cattle and taste tested steaks from top steak houses all over the world and decided Japanese Akaushi Wagyu beefs’ flavor, marbling and tenderness were unparalleled in comparison to other luxury beef.

The farmland of Monroe County sits across a very similar latitude plane as Kumamoto, Japan, the original home of the Akaushi. This perfectly fits the vision of producing high quality Akaushi cattle as the rolling hills, natural springs, rich soil and climate are perfect to raise cattle equivalent to those in Japan. All of our Hall Farmstead Artisan Wagyu cattle are DNA tested and tracked for authenticity, repeatability and consistency, ensuring the cuts of beef we produce exceed expectations.

Nutrition and Water

All of our grain is home grown, harvested and stored on our properties. Our proprietary blended recipe for our grain finishing has been developed with renown, top cattle nutritionists in both the US and Japan. This includes steam flaked Hall Farmstead corn and soybeans which is portion measured to ensure maximum consistency in our taste, marbling and tenderness. All cattle and pastures are hydrated with fresh flowing water from abundant natural spring sources throughout the farm valleys and streams.

Family and Community

The elements important for our vision are introducing wagyu to the region, building a brand that endures time, while creating a marketplace business involving the community, family and the products unique to the area.

Greg Hall

Our Founder

" I am blessed to have been born and raised in Monroe County, KY nestled among the rolling hills where the Cumberland and Barren rivers flow on the Kentucky/Tennessee border. Monroe County is enriched with abundant natural resources ideal for raising cattle. The limestone filtered springs and streams combined with green pastures are full of nutrient grasses and soil mirroring that of the Kumamoto region of Japan, birthplace of Akaushi Wagyu which makes it possible to produce luxury artisan beef.

Hall Farmstead’s promise will always be to provide our customers a luxurious indulgent experience with each bite of 100% Hall Farmstead Purebread Artisan Wagyu beef. "

passion and commitment

From the first bite, you will experience the superior taste and tenderness of Hall Farmstead Wagyu. We hope you enjoy our beef at home with family and friends as much as we do raising them here on the farmstead. Come visit us anytime!

Sincerely,

Greg and Teresa Hall
