Farms Chiyoda raises cattle in the majestic, rich natural environment of Biei, ensuring they grow healthily. The defining feature of their farming approach is the use of sake lees with live yeast, a by-product from sake production, which is blended into a unique feed developed by the farm. Additionally, the roughage given to the cattle is primarily sourced from Hokkaido, and the cattle drink from the abundant spring water flowing from the Daisetsuzan mountains, resulting in a meticulously raised “Biei Beef.” The farm is dedicated to feeding its cattle the safest feed possible, ensuring that even customers with the most discerning palates will be thoroughly satisfied.

Memo: Based on online resources and books, it appears that Biei Beef and Biei Wagyu both use a specially formulated feed containing sake yeast. Although most descriptions online focus on Biei Wagyu, this notation was used here because the same feed applies to Biei Beef as well.
