Brand Introduction: Atsumi Beef

Features

Atsumi Beef is a crossbreed of Holstein mothers (dairy cattle) and Japanese Black (Kuroge Washu) fathers. While Holstein cows are primarily dairy producers, crossing them with Japanese Black significantly enhances the meat quality. The beef is praised for its fine marbling, offering a lighter fat content compared to purebred wagyu, making it easier to enjoy without being overly rich. This balance has earned Atsumi Beef a strong reputation among consumers.

Dedication

1. Creating a Connection with Consumers

Traditionally, producers’ involvement in the meat industry ended with sending their cattle to market. To bridge the gap between producers and consumers, Atsumi Beef was branded to allow farmers to see how their carefully raised cattle are appreciated, while also boosting local consumption.

2. Specially Formulated Feed

Only cattle raised by member farmers of the Atsumi Beef Promotion Council and fed exclusive, specially blended feed are recognized as Atsumi Beef. The feed, refined through years of research, defines Atsumi Beef’s exceptional flavor. In 2012, rice was added to the core ingredients of corn and barley to further enhance the feed’s quality and taste.

3. Supporting Local Production and Consumption

Atsumi Beef aims to be a locally loved product. With more restaurants embracing locally sourced ingredients, Atsumi Beef has become a popular choice. It stands out for its quality and flavor, comparable to wagyu, and has received excellent reviews. The beef’s marbling gently melts when touched, while the red meat remains firm and flavorful.

Special Feed for Atsumi Beef

“Atsumi Beef Series” Feed

The Atsumi Beef feed series is designed with “wagyu-style feeding” in mind.

1. Growth Feed: “Atsumi Beef Early Stage”

• Supports bone and organ development during the growth phase (up to about 1 year old).

• Features high fiber content, natural unheated ingredients, and low calories for slow, steady digestion.

2. Fattening Feed: “Atsumi Beef Late Stage”

• Focused on producing tender, flavorful meat with rich umami fats.

• Contains ample fiber and is light in texture, encouraging natural consumption. Barley, a key ingredient in wagyu feed, is used generously to enhance flavor.

Locally Loved, Carefully Raised

Atsumi Beef reflects the passion and dedication of its nine producer families. From exclusive feed formulations to sustainable farming practices, Atsumi Beef is a testament to quality and care. Enjoy the balance of tender meat and savory flavor, a product of thoughtful craftsmanship and local pride.
