Breed: Japanese Black (Kuroge Washu)
Meat Quality: Grade 3 or higher
Production Area: Raised predominantly in Akita Prefecture
Feed: Must be fed a certain amount of rice feed
Beef from cattle fed rice is softer, juicier, more flavorful, and has a better fat melting point than beef from cattle fed regular feed.
