Our Story

In 2021, Layne and Amy Schnacker purchased 500 acres of grassland south of Elwood, Nebraska in the rolling hills of Gosper County.  Drawn to the Southwest Nebraska property, a stone’s throw from Elwood Reservoir, they built a ranch home and corrals overlooking a sweeping vista of prairie grass, deep canyons, and plentiful ponds:  a cattleman’s paradise.  They called their cow-calf operation 007 Ranch, derived from their address 74007.   The Schnacker herds of Angus and Wagyu share the bountiful grass, mulberries, choke cherries, corn, and alfalfa with white-tail deer, prairie chickens, and other native wildlife.   Layne and Amy, as well as their children Bentley and Sereniti, invite you to experience the love they put into their products produced on this beautiful property.

The Wagyu Bull influence is evident with beautiful marbling and the yield of the Angus breed creates the perfect match.
