This refers to the specially selected Wagyu cattle raised with great care by designated farmers within the JA's jurisdiction (Ōtawara City, Nasushiobara City, and Nasu Town), an area embraced by clear air and lush natural surroundings. To further enhance the flavor of the meat, rice is added to the feed, and skilled producers spend approximately 20 months carefully fattening the cattle. This long-term process maximizes the natural potential of the cattle, resulting in beef with a rich and flavorful taste. Among these, Japanese Black Wagyu graded A or B with a score of 3 or higher is marketed as "Nasu Wagyu."
