Our Story
While growing up on a farm myself, we always wanted the experience for our children. Raising a family on the farm can be difficult, but it gives purpose and meaning to life. We wanted our kids to learn how to work and to see the satisfying results of a good hard day. On a farm, it comes naturally to reap what you sow, it’s just the way of life. In 2013 we were finally able to afford our first piece of land, and that started the reality of our dream!
Ever since then we've acquired a little more land here, turned it into a ranch by introducing cattle, and started off into the food and meat market! We currently have two locations in Arizona and one in Utah. Each area has a different climate that lends itself to different purposes in raising cattle.
We love seeing life lived to the fullest with all of our cattle so we raise them about three years, (a full year longer than standard) before we process them for meat. Our animals all live healthy and happy lives, with room to move and enjoy their surroundings. We believe in Free range, cage free, pasture grazing, natural animals.
Wagyu Beef
A Japanese beef cattle breed – derive from native Asian cattle. 'WAGYU' refers to all Japanese beef cattle, where 'Wa' means Japanese and 'gyu' means cow. Wagyu were originally draft animals used in agriculture, and were selected for their physical endurance. This selection favored animals with more intra-muscular fat cells – ‘marbling’ – which provided a readily available energy source. Wagyu is a horned breed and the cattle are either black or red in color. (American Wagyu Association) We have cows from both breeds. Our Bull is the son of the famous ‘Big Al’ who was the first Red Wagyu to be born in the US and has parentage still in Japan.
