๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ตHere is a summary of some Japanese Yakiniku restaurants types that I have found during my years living in Japan ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

Yakiniku (็„ผ่‚‰) comes from the particles yaku (to grill, ็„ผ) and niku (meat, ่‚‰) and is the name for the barbeque in Japan

Teppanyaki (้‰„ๆฟ็„ผใteppan-yaki) is a restaurant where skilled chef cooks dishes in front of customers. The word teppanyaki is derived from teppan (้‰„ๆฟ), the metal plate on which it is cooked, and yaki (็„ผใ), which means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried. Teppanyaki is a performance art and to become a master teppanyaki chef takes much time, practice and commitment. Also, you can also find other type of Yakiniku places where chef cooks meat and dishes in different ways (oven, grills, etc.).

If customers want to cook their meat directly, Japan has many Yakiniku restaurants with small grills in the middle of the tables. Some of them are sunken grills that have internal smoke extractors and other are small tabletop grills that usually have ceiling hood to extract smoke, and both generally are gas fueled. Another interesting way to grill meat is with Shichirin (ไธƒ่ผช), which is a portable bowl made of ceramic or diatomaceous earth and fueled with Binchotan charcoal.

Different ways to have a great meat experience and enjoy grilled meat at restaurants in Japan! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Hope you can enjoy them ! ๐Ÿ™
