Main Wagyu Brands
The main Wagyu brands in Japan 🇯🇵 (among more than 200 nationwide) are: Kobe, Matsusaka, Omi and Ozaki.
All four brands have their own traits that make them unique, but outstanding quality as the common factor among them 👏👏👏
- Kobe, the first Wagyu brand introduced worldwide and hence the most famous one
-Omi, the oldest Wagyu brand with more than 400 years. Spectacular flavor.
-Ozaki, supreme organic Wagyu. New bloodline created by recognized Mr. Muneharu Ozaki. Supreme beef.
-Matsusaka, well know for being fed beer and giving massages to cattle.
Each brand is produced in specific prefectures under very strict rules. During my first year in Japan I had the opportunity to visit most of them and also enjoy unique experiences.
- Kobe beef in the historic Royal Mouriya restaurant, in Kobe prefecture. A Restaurant with more than 140 years of experience in Kobe beef.
- Omi Beef in long established house of Matsumiya restaurant, in Shiga prefecture. Exquisite and unforgettable beef experience.
- Matsusaka Beef in the legendary Wadakin Restaurant, in Mie prefecture. Atmosphere of hospitality and peace.
During 2022 Im looking forward to visit Miyazaki prefecture to learn more about the supreme Ozaki beef! Im intrigued to meet with Mr. Muneharu Osaki san and learn more about this new bloodline of Wagyu that is becoming famous for their superb flavor and organic and natural practices.
